About the role

Your role is to provide support to the Logistic Group to ensure that the Company meets its obligations with respect to the service delivery and maintenance objectives of networks operated by Vocus. 

About duties & responsibilities 

The scope of theLogistics Officerrole includes the following activities and responsibilities for each assigned project: 

  • Manage and order necessary stock to fulfil orders 
  • Process and dispatch hardware for customer orders 
  • Physical handling, labelling and arranging of stock to business rules 
  • Preparation of stock, which may include assembling products, adding or removing accessories and documentation and configuring hardware 
  • Logistics Processing, Procurement & Distribution 
  • Manage logistics activities across various projects 
  • Registering/Tagging of new and existing equipment 
  • Pick and Packing and distribute of Network equipment for various Projects 
  • Working as a team member to deliver and meet datelines 
  • Logging freight process (Tracking of equipment from end to end – dispatch to arrival) 
  • Prioritise distribution of equipment according to project dateline 
  • Source new equipment from vendors 
  • Raise and manage purchase orders via internal application 
  • Inventory and System 
  • Daily Inventory Adjustment 
  • Input Equipment data into System 
  • Coordinate Quarterly audits/stock count on Warehouses across Australia. 
  • Reporting/Document 
  • Document and Produce Audit Reports 
  • Generate and summarise Purchase Order Reports, Operation and Maintenance Related Reports, and Project Reports along with the associated financial cost. 
  • Performance report to seek and recommend improvement initiatives for Nextgen Deliveries. 

About you

  • A minimum of 3 years of industry experience roles in the telecommunications, civil construction, or utilities industries. 
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred 
  • Valid License to perform High Risk with forklift driving experience preferred 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness during period of change in work responsibilities or environment 
  • Ability to ensure consistency of standards/procedures and promote efficiencies. 
  • Outstanding commitment to customer service and internal and external customer experience 
  • Good planning, organisational, analytical, and decision-making skills 
  • Sound administrative and time management skills 
  • Computer literate – broad knowledge of Windows/Microsoft Office required. 
  • Capability to build strong and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across different cultures. 
  • Ability to relate logical concepts to actual practices. 
  • Understanding of logical and physical inventory concepts and ability to operate with respect to these. 
  • Experience using a purchasing and inventory management system, interpreting data & analysing. 
  • reports and trend. 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, physical environment.
