This position will support the business to manage the integration of new network acquisitions. The role will report directly into the Head of FP&A – I&O and Group Services and work closely with the Capital Planning Manager and FP&A Manager in the team.
The role will require strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills, along with financial modelling, reporting and problem-solving as natural strengths.

The Opportunity:
The Senior FP&A Analyst is a broad role that will support the Vocus business through an exciting transition as we integrate network acquisitions. Reporting to the Head of FP&A – I&O and Group Services, you will be responsible for the management and reporting of financial costs (Opex and Capex) to integrate the network acquisitions into the Vocus Business.
The role’s priority will be the management of Integration costs, however, will be required to sync in with the wider FP&A team to support the annual budget cycle, rolling forecasts and financial planning. Working with the Capital Planning and FP&A Managers to provide insightful reporting of business performance and play a key role in aligning business strategy and financial objectives. As the finance business partner for Integration, you’ll assist the Integration Management Office (IMO) and wider-business with commercial appraisal to facilitate robust business decision-making processes to ensure optimal return on capital.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Managing the Financial Reporting and Tracking of the Integration
- Build and maintain a Financial reporting tool to track and provide insight to the IMO and wider-business, including board reporting on status
- Business Partner to the Integration Management Office

- Providing support and guidance to the IMO on integration costs, including monthly P&L reviews; budgeting/forecasting assistance and tactical support when required
- Provide support to the wider-business to ensure integration is managed within budget
- Work across the organisation providing key information and advice as required
- Ad hoc business analysis / reporting
- Monthly reporting and analysis

- Management reports (BU reports / Management/Board pack and investor presentations)
- Insightful variance reporting and analysis of key business measures compared to budget, prior forecasts, strategic plan, and prior year results
- Build and seek continual improvement of financial reporting
- Budgeting and Forecasting – quarterly rolling 12-month forecasts

- Input of financial outputs into the Vocus consolidation system and management of rolling forecasts
- Long-term strategic planning

- Support the business to ensure we are making the right calls for the long-term
- Assist with reporting and planning model developments
- Commercial Appraisal of Initiatives
- Perform ad-hoc analysis of commercial implications on the I&O business relating to cost-saving projects and new ways of working
- Support the FP&A Manager to formulate plans and execute initiatives within the business
- Actively seek out cost-saving opportunities within the business
- Support the I&O, Group Services and Capex functions

- Identify opportunities to uplift FP&A process across capex and opex
- Improve reporting of key financial and operational measures, data extraction, and preparation of consolidated reports
- Collaborate across the Finance Team to implement change
What you'll bring to this role:
Knowledge Skills and Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in a relevant Finance role with specific FPA/Business Partnering experience.
- A chartered accounting background, or CPA, preferably with experience in the FMCG / Telecommunications / Technology industry as well.
- Strong financial modelling skills with ability to leverage technology to improve robustness of financial models and improve user experience.
- Strong accounting and commercial business skills with thorough understanding of the annual planning and quarterly reforecasting cycle.
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to navigate an ambiguous environment
- Experience communicating with, and presenting to, diverse stakeholders, including regional operations and national management roles, with strong oral and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational, time and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with competing priorities
- Advanced with MS skills, specifically Excel/PowerPoint
- Experience with Adaptive Insights highly advantageous
