From our exciting partnerships with Google to build new global connectivity, to our proposed acquisition of TPG’s Enterprise, Government, and Wholesale fixed business and network assets, we are entering a dynamic period of growth and opportunity. We are looking for a Senior Manager People Integration Strategy to play a key role in preparing for the potential integration of people, processes, and assets of TPG’s EGW fixed business post regulatory approval. 

About the role

As Senior Manager People Integration Strategy, you’ll play an integral part in the proposed TPG acquisition, by supporting the integration of the TPG Enterprise Government and Wholesale Fixed business into Vocus. Working closely with the Head of People Integration, you’ll provide strategic support, expert advice, and project management capabilities to the program. Your role will be vital in ensuring the smooth integration of business operations, establishing operating rhythms, setting project guardrails, and driving the execution of key initiatives to meet deadlines and strategic objectives. In collaboration with internal stakeholders, it will provide strategic leadership and drive the people integration initiatives to bring relevant business strategies to life.

Please note: This is a 9-month maximum term contract. It’s a hybrid working arrangement requiring at least two days in the office, based in either our Melbourne or Sydney offices. This is a full-time role, but we are open to candidates who prefer to work four days a week.

What you’ll be doing day-to-day

  • Provide strategic support to the Head of People Integration and people project leads in driving and executing the people integration strategy.
  • Provide expert advice and strategic leadership across the People & Performance mission to guide decision-making and people integration activities.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, feedback sessions, and regular updates to ensure active participation and input.
  • Support with board papers, preparation of presentations for the executive team and development of materials for people integration program discussions.
  • Lead and facilitate project management activities, including defining timelines, establishing deliverables, and monitoring progress to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Develop and maintain an operating rhythm that promotes cross-functional collaboration and alignment.
  • Define and implement guardrails and frameworks to ensure structured, efficient execution of project workstreams.
  • Identify risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum.
  • Foster a high-performance, results-driven culture by supporting team members and key stakeholders with strategic guidance and actionable plans.
  • Act as a liaison between the Head of People Integration, Chief People Officer and project teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on priorities.

 What you’ll bring to this role

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field preferred, coupled with a minimum 10 years of experience in strategy, transformation or a consulting role.
  • Proven experience in strategy development and execution, particularly in mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale HR transformation projects.
  • Strong consulting background with expertise in strategic advisory, operational planning, and project management and deep understanding of HR practices, workforce dynamics, and organisational behaviour.
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to define milestones, track progress, and drive accountability.
  • Highly analytical and able to synthesise complex data into actionable insights coupled with excellent communication and influencing skills and the ability to present ideas clearly and engage with senior executives.
  • Experience in defining and implementing governance structures, operating models, or frameworks to enhance project delivery and proven ability to manage competing priorities, deliver results under pressure, and work in ambiguous environments.
