Venues NSW is a commerically focused agency of the NSW Government, encompassing the Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium as well as major sporting and cultural stadiums and precincts in Sydney, Olympic Park, Parramatta, Newcastle and Wollongong. The network of stadiums and entertainment centres host in excess of 5 million people a year at more than 500 events and is a key contributor to the economy.
 
Venues NSW takes an intergrated approach to our stadia and entertainment centres by developing partnerships with sporting codes, the entertainment and event industry, audiences, local businesses, NSW Government agencies and community groups. Our network throughout NSW allows us to combine internal resources and harness a vast employee skillset all of which helps us deliver key projects and secure outstanding content.
 
 
Sporting Club of Sydney opened in late August 2022 and has since served over a million visitors who regularly enjoy the heated pools, top of the line fitness equipment and more.
 

ABOUT THE ROLE

This newly created role is perfect for those looking to further their career in the fitness industry and continue growing their understanding of the industry. Working closely with management to ensure the facility is clean, tidy, safe and running efficiently. We’re looking for someone who can make their mark on the facility with new ideas, whilst ensuring the little things are done well.

Our Fitness team inspire, encourage, and educate members to achieve their fitness goals and provide a premium experience for all users. You will be an excellent communicator, a role model, able to have difficult conversations, flexible and have a can-do attitude.  

The facility boasts strength, cardio and functional training zones, an outdoor training terrace, as well as separate mind body, cycle and group fitness studios. An indoor 25m pool, outdoor 50m pool, spa, cold plunge, steam, traditional sauna and infrared sauna rooms. An indoor/ outdoor café, day spa, golf simulator and child-minding facility for members and their guests.  

This role will be working closely with the Duty Managers to ensure a premium experience is delivered that is second to none. 

You will have a proven track record in delivering high volume Personal training, Group exercise classes, a role managing responsibilities within a team and a good understanding of high-end service, with an eye for detail. 

 

ABOUT YOU

 

Excellent communication skills are vital for this role, as are being vibrant and energetic, customer focused, passionate about fitness and committed. Availability is required for mornings, afternoons, weekdays and weekends.

  • Certificate III & IV in fitness
  • Working with children’s check
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certificate
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable
  • Experience and proven track record in supervising a successful team, championing excellence, driving innovation with a growth mindset required
  • Experience in conducting group fitness classes
  • Experience in personal training
  • IT skills: Word, Excel
