Sporting Club of Sydney opened in late August 2022 and has since hosted over one million visitors who love our heated pools, top of the line fitness equipment and more.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our newly created Supervisor role is ideal for those looking to take their career to the next level. With thousands of visitors a day our Aquatics team is key to keeping our pools clean and safe for everyone to enjoy.
You will assist the Aquatic Manager in running an efficient Swim School, Junior Squad and Adult Squad program; liaising with parents and teachers to foster positive relationships with patrons. Ensuring the maintenance of accurate records while upholding high standards across the team. Provide guidance to swim instructors, ensuring lesson plans are followed and students receive high-quality instruction. Conduct evaluations and assessments of swim school students to ensure continuous improvement is maintained. Handle swim school inquiries, feedback, and complaints from parents and participants, addressing concerns and finding resolutions.
You will also assist in ensuring the aquatic facilities are up to standard via pool testing, cleaning and pool operations. Supervise the daily operations of the aquatic facilities and lifeguard team. Conduct regular lifeguard training sessions, drills, and performance evaluations to maintain a high standard of vigilance and preparedness.
Availability is required for mornings, afternoons, weekdays and weekends.
The facility boasts an indoor 25m pool, outdoor 50m pool, spa, cold plunge, steam, traditional sauna and infrared sauna rooms. Strength, cardio and functional training zones, an outdoor training terrace, as well as separate group fitness, mind body and cycle studios. An indoor/ outdoor café, day spa, golf simulator and child-minding facility for members and their guests.

ABOUT YOU
You will need excellent communication skills, be vibrant and energetic, customer focused, passionate about aquatic activities and committed.
- Current Pool Lifeguard certification
- Swim Teacher qualification (AUSTSWIM or SWIM Australia)
- Working with children’s check
- Current CPR & First Aid Certificate
- Pool Operations certification desirable but not necessary
- Experience and a proven track record in supervising a successful team, championing excellence, driving innovation with a growth mindset
