ORGANISER – AMBULANCE
UNITED WORKERS’ UNION
The United Workers Union is seeking to employ highly motivated, experienced Organiser(s) in Brisbane for our Ambulance Section in a permanent full-time role and a fixed term 6-month role.
Candidates with experience in union or related organising, campaigning or advocacy will be highly regarded.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build active and sustainable organising structures that contribute to achieving the Objects of the Union.
- Create and work to organising plans ensuring membership growth; member leadership and action; and winning industry power.
- Assess and support the development of delegates and members
- Ensure that the Union’s values of equity, diversity and inclusion are upheld and promoted.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
An Organiser demonstrates:
- A passion and drive to improve workers’ lives and achieving the goals of the Union.
- Good communication, messaging and rapport building skills;
- An ability to develop members, including motivating and educating others;
- An ability to participate in the unions political and social justice agenda;
- An ability to plan and organise work and achieve outcomes.
To perform this job, you will also be required to have or obtain and maintain:
- A valid driver’s licence; and
- Right of Entry Permits; and
- Immunisation against COVID-19 or have a medical exemption
REMUNERATION
An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant, which will include:
- Salary commensurate with demonstrated skills and experience;
- A motor vehicle or motor vehicle allowance;
- 16% superannuation
- 6 weeks annual leave plus 25% leave loading
