The opportunity

We are on the hunt for a Principal Technologist to serve as a trusted advisor with extensive experience in designing and delivering cloud-based Microsoft technology.
We can look at permanent or contract engagements for the right individual.

• Consult, architect and deliver Azure cloud-based solutions serving as a leader for technical client engagement and cloud delivery focusing on optimising scalability, reliability, security, operations, and performance.
• You'll own and provide technical reviews on Azure architecture solutions including Cloud infrastructure, DevOps, Data/AI, Security and Integration. 
• Serve as a trusted advisor building and maintaining strong relationships across all business levels within strategic enterprise environments (FSI).
• You'll work closely with LAB3 sales and project teams to optimize client outcomes, proactively recommend client value creation initiatives and implement relevant industry best practices. You will also identify, interpret, and communicate meaningful insights, conclusions, cost estimations, deliver workshops and report to senior management.
• Support our Pre-sales teams in providing direction, drive documentation and help set-up proof-of-concept prototypes. You'll also act as a technical point of escalation for clients and internal LAB3 engineers.
• Ensure that our solutions comply with relevant governance, licensing & security requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• a T shaped skill set with deep expertise in consulting, advisory and enterprise architecture of Azure infrastructure.
• Width and depth of cloud skills to enable effectiveness in both high- and low-level architecting and solutioning
• Proven track record of understanding large, complex environments and navigating senior stakeholders, both technical and non-technical. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable and robust technical solutions. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to C-suite executives.

• Enterprise IT and common Architectural Patterns
• On-Prem and private cloud architectures and familiarity with migration and modernisation approaches.
• Microsoft Well Architected Framework
• M365 and associated services
• Common Application Architectures, particularly those that are cloud native.
• Azure Data and Cognitive Services
• Containerisation and Orchestration tooling and Microservices Architecture.
• Cloud Security Concepts, Posture Management (CSPM) and Azure Security Services and Baselines
