About the Opportunity

 

Based at Council’s Portland Office, the Information Systems Officer role’s primary responsibility is to manage and support users by being the IT unit’s first point of contact.

 

This role will work largely in the IT helpdesk system assisting end users. You will work closely your team members to undertake complex issue diagnoses, aide in finding end user solutions and assist in implementing these solutions across the network. This is a fast-paced environment that has a range of interesting IT problems, that are bound to keep your busy an engaged in all that Council has to offer.

 

The role offers professional development opportunities to expand your skills across various disciplines of the IT department, including Network/Server Administration, Storage, Cloud, and Security

What you need to Thrive

 

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering IT support for email, mobile devices, software, networks, and all things 365, with knowledge of LAN and WAN networks
  • Proven ability to address customer needs efficiently in a face paced IT helpdesk environment.
  • Strong customer service, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. You must have a can-do attitude.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to set priorities, work independently and perform well under pressure.
  • Proven ability to compose clear, effective written communication and apply strong problem-solving skills
