About the Opportunity

 

A fantastic opportunity has become available at Glenelg Shire Council for a proficient and experienced Administrative Support Officer to work in our Infrastructure Services Department.

 

The Infrastructure Services Department includes; Roads & Infrastructure Maintenance, Environment & Facilities, Projects & Engineering, Airport and Local Port Operations.

 

Duties and responsibilities include:  

 

  • Providing general administration and customer service assistance to the Infrastructure Services department.
  • Organising internal/external meetings.
  • Timber Harvest Administration duties.
  • Processing Asset Protection and Works Within Road reserve Permit Applications.

What you need to Succeed

 

The successful candidate will have:

 

  • Several years’ administrative support experience in an office environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft software applications and proficient word processing skills.
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated time management capabilities.
  • High level customer service skills and good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence including meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Professional and positive attitude with the ability to exercise initiative.
