About the Opportunity

 

Do you have exceptional payroll knowledge or working within a Human Resources environment and looking to pivot your career?

 

Glenelg Shire are looking for an experienced Payroll Coordinator to oversee the end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, manage compliance with all applicable awards and legislation and generate payroll reports.

 

As the Payroll Coordinator you will provide leadership and guidance to the Payroll Officer, fostering their development.

What you need to Succeed

 

The successful candidate will have:

 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Ability to manage your time to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of general payroll legislation including superannuation, payroll tax etc.
  • Strong knowledge of and an ability to interpret awards and agreements.
  • Previous experience in high volume end-to-end payroll.
  • Ability to collaborate across the organisation and with managers and employees is essential.
  • Desire to deliver insights for continuous improvement.
