Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Irrigation Manager, you will:

• Effectively operate the farm’s irrigation systems.
• Undertake field repairs as issues arise.
• Perform routine maintenance on irrigation equipment.
• Mix fertiliser ready for injection through the farm’s fertigation systems.
• Monitor soil moisture levels through manual digs and interpretation of soil moisture probes.
• Assist with other daily operational tasks around the farm as required.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in operating and maintaining irrigation systems, preferably in a farm setting.
• Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high quality of work.
• Flexibility in work hours to support the Irrigation Manager in maintaining irrigation operations around the seasonal demands of the orchard.
• Can do attitude and willingness to be a cohesive member of our team.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and strong practical problem-solving skills.
• A valid Australian driver’s licence is required. A forklift licence and chemical handling certificate are preferable.
