An opportunity is now available for a professional and resilient People and Performance Manager. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will lead a team of 7 HR Business Partners and work alongside a broader team of 60 talented HR professionals covering the specialisations of recruitment, learning & development, health & safety, and payroll & shared services. As the People and Performance Manager, you will lead and develop a high performing HR Business Partner team to partner with the business and align HR strategies to deliver exceptional level of coaching services and advice across all aspects of the HR Business Partnering function. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills together with your ability to build and maintain strong trusted partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and provide expert advice by drawing on your extensive HR experience and industrial relations expertise will support your success. Your passion for providing high quality support and guidance to your stakeholders will be recognised and valued.
Responsibilities within this role will include:
- Providing direction and oversight for employee relations matters
- Building strong stakeholder partnering relationships to provide effective human resources advice, solutions and coaching
- Dealing with high volume performance coaching situations in a positive, professional and respectful manner, supporting the resolution of escalations from HRBP team
- Managing projects, including streamlining multiple Enterprise Agreements into one
- Ensuring compliance with all industrial instruments and relevant acts / legislation pertaining to employment
- Fostering positive professional relationships with Regulatory (Fair Work, Modern Slavery), peak industry (ACCPA) and industrial (Unions) bodies
- Providing sound specialist advice to management and supporting the resolution of complex employee grievances and disputes
The successful candidate will be highly organised, approachable and proactive, with the ability to manage sensitive information in a complex organisation and foster strong, collaborative working relationships with HR colleagues and other SME streams. Additionally, to be successful in this role you’ll have;
- Completion of tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management
- Significant demonstrated experience in a similar position within a complex human services organisation
- Strong demonstrated experience, knowledge and expertise in employment and industrial relations, modern award interpretation, enterprise agreement negotiation and other generalist HR related matters
- Experience creating and maintaining positive relationships with unions
- Excellent report writing and data analytics ability
- Strong computer literacy, including experience using a HRIS
- Ability to provide effective leadership to influence, inspire, motivate and optimise team capabilities
- Demonstrated success coaching and empowering direct reports to higher levels of independence
- Willingness to apply for a Police Check
