About the role
A unique opportunity to work a predominately 9:00am to 5:30pm schedule as a Chef Manager. This role reports directly to Operations Managers and ensures the smooth running of the kitchen on a day-to-day basis.
Duties
- Preparation and cooking of meals as per the set menu
- Ensure meals are of high quality with excellent presentation
- Communicating with Site Manager and Facility staff
- Provide supervision and direction to Kitchen Staff
- Ensure safe food handling and hygiene practices are maintained
- Completion of food safety documentation
- Maintain feedback monitoring processes
- Adhere to budgets, stock take and regular ordering procedures
- Assisting with kitchen staff schedules and filling shifts
Skills & experience
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Experience in Aged Care preferred
- Experience with Western Cooking
- Basic computer skills, including Outlook and ordering processes
