About the Role:

Glue Store is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Planner to join our team in Sydney. This role offers a unique opportunity to support the Merchandise Planning team in driving the success of our business through effective inventory management, sales analysis, and strategic planning. Your key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Assist in developing and executing merchandise plans in collaboration with the Merchandise Planning team to achieve sales, margin, and inventory objectives
  • Support the analysis of sales performance, inventory levels, and market trends to identify opportunities and risks, and make recommendations for optimization
  • Assist in forecasting demand and replenishment needs based on historical data, seasonality, and promotional activity to ensure optimal inventory levels
  • Help maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory, sales, and markdowns to support decision-making and reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Buying, Merchandising, and Operations, to ensure alignment on merchandise strategies and initiatives
  • Assist in preparing and presenting merchandise plans, forecasts, and performance reports to management, highlighting key insights and recommendations
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement
  • Provide general administrative support to the Merchandise Planning team, including data entry, report generation, and meeting coordination.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in retail, merchandise planning, inventory management, or a related field is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with planning software is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proactive and adaptable with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Passion for fashion and a desire to learn and grow within the retail industry
