The role & responsibilities:

As an integral part of the Nude Lucy team, we’re looking for an experienced and highly commercial & creative Visual Merchandising Manager who is hungry to make Nude Lucy a household name. This role is based at our Head office in Sydney reporting directly to our Head of Retail. 

Our ideal candidate will be comfortable with managing day-to-day visual merchandising activities, as well as developing long-term brand and growth strategies, thriving with tight deadlines, and changing needs. Responsible for curating inspirational spaces that elevate the in store experience whilst coaching and training our retail teams. This is a maternity cover role for a 12 month period.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Create all of the visual merchandising guides and ensures all Visual Merchandising guidelines are received and implemented to standard on time.
  • Develop visual communications and commercial actions responding to opportunities observed in the stores.
  • Uphold regular photo compliance and provides feedback weekly and promptly to ensure stores have implemented the VM updates and are consistent with our standards and expectations 
  • Act as a liaison between head office and the store teams to communicate opportunities observed in the field to product, trade and marketing teams. 
  • Take complete ownership for the presentation of the Nude Lucy retail environment from product placement, windows, POS/in store marketing materials & signage & cleanliness, store maintenance and upkeep of all furniture. 
  • Select and ensure all stores receive promotional signage, creative displays and florals on time. 
  • Design inspiring window displays/in store creative in line with the seasonal concept to budget.
  • Work closely with suppliers to manage production of all retail creative displays.
  • Manage the Visual Merchandising calendar to ensure the critical path is adhered to.
  • Inspire, educate and motivate the national retail team to uphold impeccable in store standards.
  • Facilitate regular one on one or group in-store & virtual Visual Merchandising training sessions. 
  • Develop strong partnerships with retail management teams to drive high visual standards and commerciality through displays and adapting displays to suit the local demographic.
  • Lead the set up & VM of new store openings 
  • Manage the visual merchandising budget effectively.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 3-5 years experience working as a Visual Merchandising Manager Demonstrable window display design skills with a supporting portfolio
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills  
  • Passion for creating exceptional visual customer experiences
  • Strong project management and cross-functional team work skills
  • Flexible approach to all tasks to accommodate shifting timelines and priorities
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to draft clear communications 
  • Experience in budget management
  • Interstate travel will be required in this role
